What does Truly do?
It detects AI-generated content and face swaps in images, videos and text. Upload from your device, paste a link, or share from another app.
How do I check a social media post?
In the other app, tap Share and choose Truly. Or copy the post’s link and paste it into Truly. Most major platforms are supported.
Which files and links work?
Images (JPG, PNG), videos (MP4, MOV), pasted text, and public media links.
What’s the difference between AI and face-swap detection?
AI detection estimates whether content was generated by generative AI models. Face-swap detection looks for manipulated faces in videos.
What do the scores mean?
They show a likelihood, not a certainty. Use your own judgment for high-impact decisions.
Can Truly check a video frame by frame?
Yes. It shows results for each segment or frame, with progress while it works.
Can I save or share results?
Yes. Share a short summary, and find earlier checks in History.
How do credits and Pro work?
Each scan uses credits. Pro raises the limits, unlocks the latest models and is more reliable at busy times.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
In the App Store, tap your account, then Subscriptions. For refunds, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
Do you store my media?
Media is processed only for analysis. The optional history stays on your device, and you can clear it. We keep as little as possible and use reputable providers.
Which providers does Truly use?
Sightengine for detection, RevenueCat and Apple for subscriptions, and Firebase for diagnostics. See the privacy policy.
A scan failed. What should I check?
Check your connection, update the app, and make sure the link is public and supported. For social media links, try the Share button instead.
Why can’t Truly open a social media link?
The post may be private, limited to some regions, expired or blocked. Try a public link, or save the media and upload it if you’re allowed to.
Are long videos slow?
Longer videos take more time. Keep Truly open and use Wi-Fi.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad running the iOS version shown on the App Store, currently iOS 18 or later. Truly is also on the Mac App Store.
Does Truly support dark mode and accessibility?
Yes. It works in light and dark appearance and is built with iOS accessibility features in mind.
When reporting a problem
Include your device model, iOS version, what you were checking (a photo, a video, text or a link), and what happened. A screenshot helps. Don’t send passwords, verification codes or payment-card details.
