This Privacy Policy describes how AI Detector: GenAI & Face Swap (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App on iOS and iPadOS. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1) What we collect

  • Account data: If you sign in with Apple: name (if provided by Apple), Apple account identifier, email (relay/private email if chosen).
  • Subscription and purchase data: Managed by Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat (receipt validation, entitlement status). We do not store full payment details.
  • Usage and diagnostics: App events, device type, OS version, crash logs, performance metrics. Collected via Firebase (Analytics/Crashlytics).
  • User content you submit: Media you choose to analyze and URLs you paste/share for scanning. We may download the media from the link to perform analysis.
  • Technical data: IP address, device identifiers, and request metadata.

We do not sell your personal data.

3) How we use your data

  • Provide core functionality
  • Show results and optional local history

4) Processing of user content

  • What: images, videos, text, URLs
  • Purpose: authenticity checks
  • How: may be transmitted to Sightengine; URLs may be fetched
  • Retention: only as needed for analysis; optional local history is user‑controlled
  • Ownership: you retain ownership

5) Face Data

  • Scope: We process faces only as part of the user‑submitted images/videos to detect possible face swaps or AI‑generated content. We do not collect or create facial recognition templates, faceprints, embeddings, face geometry, or other biometric identifiers.
  • Purpose: Solely to assess content authenticity (e.g., “face_swap” and “ai_generated” indicators) and to present results to you.
  • No identification: We do not use faces to identify or verify a person, and we do not perform face recognition.
  • Sharing: Your submitted media may be transmitted to our media‑analysis processor, Sightengine, to perform the detection. We do not sell face data.
  • Retention: We do not retain face data as a separate category. Your media and its analysis results are retained per our user content policy (see “Processing of user content” and “Retention”) and can be deleted by you from history or via account deletion. Our processor handles inputs transiently for analysis.
  • Training: Your content and any face data within it are not used to train our models.
